An area-wide event filled with fun and fellowship as we seek to “Know Him” by spending time together as a youth group and with teenagers from other area churches.  Events of this night have in the past included dinner at Chuck E Cheese, Winter Jam (Christian Concert), and roller skating and ice skating at the Arkansas Skatium in Little Rock.

Winterfest (February) *To know Him
Winterfest is a weekend retreat geared toward middle and high school teens. Teachers from our fellowship teach and encourage teens in their walk with God. This weekend is geared toward discipleship. The teachers and guests that come use real life stories, drama, music and scripture to make the Christian life come alive to the teens involved. Our acappella praise and worship times are uplifting and engaging. We have contemporary Christian concerts at our events that are supplemental to the weekend.Believing that the Christian life can be very joyful, we bring in the best Christian entertainers we can find to challenge teens with their lifestyle and their attitudes. Approximate cost: $150

Spring Break Mission Effort (March) *To make Him known
This mission opportunity is open to anyone in our youth group who would like to attend during the school year on Spring Break.  This is a work project mission experience where teens will serve others “by the sweat of their brow”.  In the past few years, due to the hurricanes that have battered our coastline, we have served the churches and communities along the Gulf Coast by helping them gut houses, clean up debris, tear down and rebuild.  Communities that we have served on this mission effort include New Orleans, LA, Pearlington, MS, Bayou Labatre, LA.

Spring Retreat (April) *To make Him known
In the spring, we will have a retreat for the entire youth group. This will look slightly different from year to year, as it grows and changes. The purpose is for fellowship, discipleship, and furthering the Kingdom. Most recently, this retreat was a one day event. Approximate cost:$15

Wilderness Trek (June) *To know Him
Wilderness Trek is a rugged 5 or 6-day adventure in the majestic mountains of southern Colorado. Trek includes backpacking, hiking, rappelling, devotionals, solo times, a climb to the summit of a 13,000 or 14,000-foot mountain. It is specifically designed to challenge young people to discover self-confidence, self-esteem, personal faith, and to learn their awesome potential for living faith-filled lives. Approximate cost:$400

Splashdown (June)
SPLASHDOWN is an all night lock-in with all Arkansas Churches of Christ at Wild River Country in Little Rock, which usually takes place in the latter part of June.

Mission Effort (July) *To make Him known
A local or foreign mission effort will take place during the summer for one to two weeks. Only 8th-12th grade teens are eligible for this mission effort, and it will be led by Jeremy, interns and parents and other adults. The activities will vary from year to year, including but not limited to physical labor, V.B.S., and inner city mission efforts. The cost for this trip will depend on length of time and location, but will be approximately $400, to be raised by the students.

Guys/Girls Getaways (July) *To know Him
Planned by Jeremy, the interns and Beverly- this will be a weekend to get away (obviously), get into nature, and spend some time with the girls/ guys (respectively) and with God. The cost for this weekend will run around $30.

Jr. High Lock-In (August) *To know Him
The Jr. High lockin is one last major event before school really gets started. This is time we set aside for the younger core groups to spend together, and let our new 7th graders get to know their core-group leaders, and groups. This also helps them all to feel more comfortable with the youth group as a whole.

Plunge to Poverty (September) *To make Him known
Plunge to Poverty weekend is a unique poverty simulation designed to help educate participants about the realities of our world in need, God's heart for the poor and how we can better live out God's call for us to connect with the poor.  The experience will stretch participants outside their "comfort zones" to face their own materialism, cultural values and need to refocus on biblical mandates.

Adventure Weekend (October)  *To know Him
The Father& Son/Daughter Adventure Weekend is an event for students and their dads to spend in God's creation, enjoying time together, and experiencing the rush of adventure.

HUT Retreat (November) *To make Him known
This experience is designed for our 7th – 9th graders as an introduction to missions experiences.  The HUT training village provides an excellent environment for introducing students to how most people live in the developing world and the problems they face. Instruction goes way beyond the novelty of sleeping in a mud hut or a stilt house. Students also are directed through a variety of economic and cultural learning games that will teach them about the day to day realities of life around the world. It will be an unforgettable, life-changing experience.

Area-Wide Retreat (December) *To know Him
